Staffing Level Assessment

The Bowie VFD Staffing is looking for a person to fill the position as a contractor to do the following.

Bowie VFD will contract with an experienced company to conduct our SAFER eligible Staffing Level Assessment to interview each of our volunteers face-to-face to survey them on their wants and needs, and what motivates each of them. The contractor will complete this project by:

  1. Creating a timeline, establishing goals, and defining roles & responsibilities for the BVFD by November 30th, 2018.
  2. Developing a Member survey form (Staffing Level Assessment) with the BVFD that includes questions regarding why they joined the department, what makes them want to stay with the department, what SAFER Grant benefits they appreciate most, what SAFER Grant benefits they would like to see changed, what ideas they have about future SAFER Grants, whether they have considered leaving the department and for what reasons, and whether they know why past members have left.
  3. Designing and developing reports for the BVFD Board to use in future recruitment and retention efforts.
  4. Strive to survey all BVFD Volunteer Emergency Responders and all BVFD leadership during either face-to-face interviews or over the phone interviews. These interviews should be completed by April 1st, 2019.
  5. Analyzing BVFD’s current recruitment marketing campaign to provide recommendations to leadership on improvements and additions for future campaigns.

Proposals won’t be based on price but on qualifications.
