All Run Box at Bowie High School
Sat. Jan 30th 2021

At approximately 6:56 am, a jogger stopped into Station 839 reporting black smoke coming from Bowie High School. A box alarm was dispatched alerting all four Bowie Engine Companies, Ambulance 839 and surrounding PGFD and Anne Arundel County units. Chief 819A also responded as Volunteer Duty Chief “C”. Engine 839 arrived to find thick black smoke coming from the boiler room (and also migrating into the surrounding neighborhood). The Source of the smoke was determined to be a faulty boiler with no fire extension. All units returned to service quickly.
