PGCVFRA Recognizes Members

The Members of the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad were recognized with several awards at the Prince Georges County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Convention on Thursday evening in Accokeek.

The Webster Trophy for the multi station Volunteer Department completing the most training hours at the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute was awarded to the Bowie VFD. Our members completed over 3200 hours of training.

Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician Stephanie Owen Miller received the George Linnell Trophy for outstanding performance of Emergency Medical Services duties.

Life Member Claudia Ploor received the Trish Bayless Outstanding Female in the Fire Service Award for her life long dedication to the Volunteer Fire Service.
